Here is a free sweet baby Yoda crochet pattern that you could use as a key ring or just as a sweet little toy.

A free baby Yoda crochet pattern is easy to follow and will let you make beautiful products out of it; it’s not at all difficult! Even with your beginner’s skill, you can easily crochet it for your kids or anyone who loves Star wars.

Materials needed to make this toy is super fine yarn weight with (green, coffee, and red) colors and a crochet hook suitable for yarn size, safety eyes, and embroidery yarn to embroider eyebrows.

Tools and Materials

  • Yarn YarnArt Jeans (colors – 69, 90, 71, 62)
  • 1.25 – 2 mm crochet hook
  • Stuffing material
  • Safety eyes 8 – 9 mm
  • Sewing threads and needle

Toy size (with 1.25mm hook) – approximately 5 cm.

Abbreviations

Head & Body

Use green yarn.

Round 1: 6 sc in Mr (6)
Round 2: 6 inc (12)
Round 3: (1 sc, inc) * 6 (18)
Round 4: (2 sc. inc) * 6 (24)
Round 5: (3 sc, inc) * 6 (30)
Round 6: (4 sc, inc) * 6 (36)
Round 7-10: 36 sc (36)
Round 11: (4 sc, dec) * 6 (30)
Round 12: (3 sc, dec) * 6 (24)

Change to brown in the last stitch.

Insert the eyes between rows 8 – 9, leave 4 sc between the eyes from edge to edge. Embroider the white parts near the eyes and eyebrows. The toy is filled tightly with the stuffing material in the process of crocheting.

Use brown yarn.

Round 13: 24 sc (24)
Round 14: 24 sc – through back loops only (24)
Round 15-17: 24 sc (24)
Round 18: 24 sc – through back loops only (24)
Round 19: 12 dec (12)
Round 20: 6 dec (6)

Tighten the remaining stitches with a needle and the rest of the thread. Fasten the thread, cut it off.

Holding the toy upside down, join brown to the flo of the first stitch of the 13th row (at the back).

In the 13th row through front loops only crochet collar. Crochet in the round for 4 rows. In every row – 24 sc.

Fasten the thread, cut it off.

The hands are not filled with the stuffing material. Flatten the opening and crochet over both edges with 4 sc.

Fasten the thread and cut it leaving a long tail to attach it to the body.

Use green yarn.

The legs are not filled with the stuffing material.

Flatten opening and crochet over both edges with 4 sc. Fasten the the thread, cut in leaving a long tail to attach it to the body.

Ears x2

Use green yarn.

Round 3-6: 9 sc (9)

The ears are not filled with the stuffing material.

Flatten opening and crochet over both edges with 4 sc. Fasten the thread, cut it leaving a long tail.

Heart

Use green yarn. Make 2.

Round 1: 6 sc in Mr (6)
Round 2: 6 inc (12)
Round 3: 12 sc (12)

Fasten the thread, cut it off on the first detail. Do not cut the thread on the second part, continue crocheting – sl st with the first detail and mark the beginning of the row.

The heart is filled tightly with the stuffing material in the process of crocheting.

Fasten the thread, cut it off, leaving a log tail for sewing. Tighten the remaining stitches with a needle and the rest of the thread. Fasten the thread, cut it off.

Assembling

  • Sew the legs on the bottom of the toy in rows 19-20.
  • Sew the hands on the sides of the toy in rows 15-17.
  • Sew the ears on the sides of the head 7-9.
  • Sew a heart to hands as shown in the photo.
