Are you ready for a quick and easy Halloween project that has a huge cute factor? This cute amigurumi candy corn is a free pattern and is very easy to make, you will need a sport-weight yarn with (yellow, orange, white, and pink) colors, a 2.5 mm crochet hook, and 8 mm safety eyes.

This toy is made in one piece and takes no time to finish; it uses some basic crochet stitches like single crochet, double crochet, and half double crochet, and also you need to know how to work in back loops, and how to switch between colors.

Materials

  • 2.5mm cotton yar: yellow, orange, white, pink
  • 8mm kawaii style safety eyes
  • Synthetic cotton filling
  • 2.5mm crochet hook
  • Wool needle
  • Scissors

Abbreviations

Ch – chain
Sl st – slip stitch
Sc – single crochet
Hdc – half double crochet
Dc – double crochet
Dhp – double high point
Inc – increase
Dec – decrease
BLO – back loop only
FLO – front loop only

Candy

Start with 2.5mm yellow cotton yarn.

Round 1: 10 ch (10)
Round 2: go back over the chain and work 8 sc, 3 sc together, 7 sc, inc (20)
Round 3: inc, 7 sc, 3 inc, 7 sc, 2 inc (26)
Round 4: inc, 10 sc, 3 inc, 10 sc, 2 inc (32)
Round 5: inc, 12 sc, 4 inc, 12 sc, 3 inc (40)
Round 6-7: 1 sc (40)
Round 8: 8 sc. 1 dec (36)
Round 9: 1 sc (36)

Switch to orange.

Round 10-12: 1 sc (36)
Round 13: 4 sc, 1 dec (30)
Round 14: 1 sc (30)
Round 15: 3 sc, 1 dec (24)
Round 16-17: 1 sc (24)

Switch to white.

Round 18: 2 sc, 1 dec (18)

Place the safety eyes between rounds 10 and 11, 5 sc apart.

Fasten off with sl st, cut and hide the strand.
