Cute Amigurumi Totoro Free Crochet Pattern

We brought you the crochet pattern of the animated series Totoro, it’s a great beginner project. You can use this free pattern to make a cute gift for your loved ones or children, they will love this cute Totoro.

This pattern uses very simple crochet stitches like single crochet, and double crochet stitches which makes it very suitable for beginners.

Materials needed to make this pattern are fine-weight yarn, a 2.5 mm crochet hook, 10mm safety eyes, black embroidery yarn, black thin wire for the whiskers, white felt for the belly and eyes, and fiberfill.

Materials

  • Scheepjes Mohair Rhythm Yarn
  • Fibre content: 70% mohair, 30% microfibre (two strands together) Yarn weight: lace
  • Texture: brushed bouclé (fuzzy / fluffy) Length: 200 meter/219 yds
  • Ball weight: 25 grams / 1.76 ounces Colors: I used shade #685 – Hip Hop
  • White felt for the belly & eyes
  • 2,5 mm crochet hook
  • 10 mm safety eyes
  • Polyester fiberfill for stuffing
  • A little bit of black yarn
  • Tapestry needle
  • Stitch marker
  • Black thin aluminium wire for the whiskers

We will work from bottom to top.

Stuff firmly. Fasten off and sew it to the body.

Final touch

  • Cut out white felt oval and sew it on to the body with a very thin thread in matching color.
  • With black yarn embroider the nose and the arrows on your Totoro’s chest.
  • Take black aluminium wire and cut three pieces to make the whiskers.
