Crochet bows are fun to make and often work up quickly. They are great to use on other crochet projects and they can also be a nice addition to a hair tie, clips for all ages, or a headband.

You can switch between colors to make different head bows and they will make a great gift for your little loved ones.

All you need to know about how to crochet this cute amigurumi is how to make single crochet stitch, make a magic ring, and invisible decreases with single crochet.

  • 2.5 mm crochet hook
  • Cotton yarn (Schachenmayr Catania “Original”)
  • Red (#115)
  • White (#106)
  • Stuffing
  • Yarn needle


Ch – chain
Sc – single crochet
Inc – increase
Dec – decrease
Sl st – slip stitch
FO – fasten off


Use red (131) yarn.

Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Rnd 2: sc around [6]
Rnd 3: (sc, inc) x3 [9]
Rnd 4: sc around [9]
Rnd 5: (2 sc, inc) x3 [12]
Rnd 6-7: sc around [12]
Rnd 8: (dec, 2 sc) x3 (9)
Rnd 9: (dec, sc) x3 [6]
Rnd 10: (sc, inc) x3 [9]
Rnd 11: (2 sc, inc) x3 [12]
Rnd 12-13: sc around [12]
Rnd 14: (dec, 2 sc) x3 [9]
Rnd 15: sc around [9]
Rnd 16: (dec, sc) x3 [6]

Don’t stuff the bow (fig 1). Invisible fasten off.

White small bow: ch 20, join with sist in first chain st (pic 2).

Cut the yarn, leave a long tail.

Wrap the tail around the bow as show on photo 3.

Then lay the white small bow on the red bow and wrap the tail around to secure two bows together (pic 4, 5).
Make 3 knots, cut the tails and hide them in red bow.

Lace: ch 70. Fasten off.

Pull the lace through the bow as show on pic 6.
